When does a 3.5L water pump leak?

My coolant drop started in the high 80s, got it replaced in the low 90s via ESP luckily.

Most Likely Cause for Overheating With no Leaks & Good Fan and Belt?

After you top off the coolant, mark the level when cool, and monitor to make sure you aren't losing any coolant over the summer. If so you've got other issues, been there done that.

2012 Explorer Limited Driver Seat Issues

Even though they looked plugged-in, sometimes connectors aren't fully seated even when they look latched. It's a pain, but I would disconnect all of them and check for any bent or broken pins. Check for any debris around the outside of the connector that may prevent it from fully seating. Add a...

    Looking into 2018 explorer sport

Yeah what he said. My ESP covered a bum water pump, motor mounts, and front control arms at 93K. Don't leave home without it.

    Exterior Trim A-Pillar Recall

Did they confirm the rear sunroof drains were clear? They are harder to get to, as you have to unbolt the glass from inside and shift the whole thing forward

    Hello All from VA

There's a dog bone looking transmission mount that goes bad after a while. There have been posts about it in the recent past I think.

    Parasitic Draw

Ah ok, apparently those are called Jcase fuses, and are a pain to remove without breaking them. I read where they can break if you use standard needle-nose pliers, and folks had success with a thin screwdriver and alot of patience. Or something like this

    Parasitic Draw

Do you mean the relays? Those are large, square and usually have three prongs, and yes can sometimes stick internally and cause a drain. There shouldn't be any issues pulling those.

    2017 XLT 2.3 transmission failure

Diagnosed by who, the dealer? I'd get a second opinion.

    Exterior Trim A-Pillar Recall

Can't say for sure, but that trim doesn't create water-tight seal, which is around the windshield, so I would go for it it were me. I would make sure your cowl drains are clear and remove and trash these 2 pieces. https://www.explorerforum.com/forums/threads/mystery-part.467400/#post-4016104

    Exterior Trim A-Pillar Recall

There is another thread about this from a few months back, I think they were supposed to get inventory sometime during the summer and let people know.

    TPMS relearn

At 93k, started getting a RF TPMS error a few weeks back at highway speeds, and now it's on pretty much all of the time. Do these normally go bad at higher mileage, or should I try one of those re-learn tools first?

    2018 Ford explorer speakers

Match up the ohm rating or they will sound like crap. Some oem systems have a strange ohm rating to purposely make it difficult to swap out speakers, i.e. the Ford Mach 460 or the Infiniti Bose systems from awhile back.

Looking for left rear sunroof drain for 2013

Yes it was open and went down from the top. I couldn't see the end of the cleaning tool out of the hole, so it must have hit a bend, but went down pretty far. If the front drains are clogged it'll pool in the front footwells, but if the rears are clogged (and the car is angled down towards the...

Looking for left rear sunroof drain for 2013

My driver's rear actually drained from 2 locations. Haha not sure if it's supposed to do that, but I cleaned them with a flexible cleaning tool from Amazon and it will drain as fast as pour water down it.

    2018 explorer Small leak

Good that you're CPO, I have an ESP and I finally used it after 3 years, they also did 4x motor mounts and front LCAs at the same time. I had them do the serpentine belt tensioner and new belt on my dime. I was hesitant with the diagnosis as well, since the leak wasn't visible, but I guess they...

    2018 explorer Small leak

Mine was dropping at about the same rate, with no visible external leakage, and a few months ago the dealership diagnosed a bad water pump at ~92k and replaced it under my ESP, so I'd stop driving it asap. And that tech is an idiot for saying that. I wouldn't sweat the other thing, you need the...

Wasn't there another thread recently, at the driver side wire harness plug through the door, one of the pins had corroded and was causing a similar issue?

    Safety Recall 24S02/NHTSA Recall 24V031 | Feb 2024

I get vibrations / buzzing from mine I can hear in the cabin at highway speeds, and both of the gaskets are split, so I might as well do it.
