"Tire Pressure Sensor Fault" appears in mssg center

Okay, I think I know the answer already, but this forum, & specifically an enthusiast namedh TechGuru, has really helped me, so here't goes... My TPMS system had been working fine, & I was curious about it whenever I went from P235 70 16s, the called-for tires, to a set of brand-spankin'-new...

I'm putting hub & bearing assemblies all the way round my '05 auto 4×4 Explorer. Should I go ahead & replace the toe compensator links too?

Up above, my problem is pretty explanatory. I've already put on rear brake pads, calipers, & rotors in the back. Will be doing that to the front after hub & bearing assemblies are completed. So should I go ahead & replace the toe compensator links too while I'm at it, because it's becoming a...

Engine oil & oil filter for high mileage '05 3rd Gen Explorer

My truck is obviously an '05 Explorer. With the exception of the 289 V8, & the 17 inch wheels, someone bought it 'fully loaded,' all the bells & whistles, & they *seemingly* took pretty good care of the thing by the sound of the motor, it's still-pretty-damned-smooth shifting, & the paint job &...

    Replacing the hard-to-find rear toe link/toe compensator/etc, w/the Dorman 523-007 part #...

I recently (AND FINALLY, I BELIEVE!) have found what I would've called the rear tie rod ends w/the Dorman 523-007 toe compensator link for my auto 4×4 '05 Explorer w/factory 16s, NOT 17s! But seeing as EVERY OTHER AVAILABLE PART is made for 17 inch wheels, & I just have the stock 16 inch...

Still having trouble diagnosing 3rd Gen Explorer XLT noise that comes & goes...

I have a 2005 automatic 4×4 Explorer XLT, all the bells & whistles, sans the 289 V8, & I have replaced rear parking brakes shoes & hardware kit, new rotors, pads, & calipers, also had rear diff serviced & new sway bar links put on. (All parts from TRQ/1A Auto) However, every time I start it & it...

Whining/winding noise that comes & goes from rear wheels. When it's audible, happens w/every revolution of rear wheels. HELP!

I have a 2005 Explorer XLT. Have had new rotors, calipers, & pads put on. Also, just had new sway bar links & bushings put on too. But the whining/winding noise it makes whenever the noise is audible, which is more often than not, happens w/every revolution of the rear wheels. Does ANYONE have...

Rear end trouble on a 3rd Gen Explorer! Help!

What would cause my '05 Explorer XLT Sport 4×4 to have a winding & whining racket w/each revolution of the wheels, not to mention the rear end squeaks & eeks, as well. Any info is appreciated!

    Sealing sunroof closed with silicone

Well... I've decided that, since my sunroof motor is very weak, & since I'm pretty poor ATM, I'm just gonna silicone the leaking SOB shut.... Permanently! But someone advised me "not to forget to detach the power coupling," I believe it was. Anyone have any idea what he was alluding to???

Power coupling that needs detached to silicone my 05's sunroof shut???

I was instructed by another 3rd generation Mountaineer owner to not forget to detach a power coupling if I'm gonna silicone my sunroof shut. Anyone know where this would be located at? Thanks for any info!

    Leaking 05 Explorer sunroof!

I have an 05 Explorer XLT. I've tried everything to stop my sunroof from leaking! I've made up my mind that, since I never use it anyway, I'm gonna permanently seal the damned thing watertight shut! Any recommendations as to the best way to go about this??
