1998 Ford Explorer CV axle boot replacement.

Alright, so i checked the stabalizer bar. And it was solid. No movement in it. Then i jacked up the front end, and tried shaking the wheel. There was no play in it either. Also, i haven't noticed the popping noise lately. Its just been riding really rough, and i can feel every little...

1998 Ford Explorer CV axle boot replacement.

Yea, i'll check the stabalizer bar then jack it up and check if its the wheel bearing. I read somewhere on here earlier that it can still be the wheel bearing and not shake. But first things first. Its spring break for me so i have plenty of time. Thanks for the help guys and enjoy your weekend!!

1998 Ford Explorer CV axle boot replacement.

Alright... thanks Carguy!!! Just to clear some stuff up... The noise doesn't happen while accelerating or decelerating. Though when i'm driving at a low rate of speed in a straight line, or turning i do feel a little bit of bumping under my feet. I think the vertical camber(if thats what you...

Bad CV joint or bad shock? Hey guys, i have a question concerning a noise i had while driving. My X has 113,000 miles on it now with original parts. The noise is coming from front driver side wheel. Anyway, the noise is a bumping one i heard while driving about 20 mph. As i pulled into a...

    tow hook

Need a body lift? Alright, so i have an explorer just like TRJ360's. I saw where he mounted his tow hooks on the front and went out to look at mine. I noticed my frame about 3 inches or so above the opening on the bumper. Do TRJ360's tow hooks attach to the frame? If so, would i be able to...

Well First, i was upset when i first posted that... not really anymore now. Second, no one told me i could only bump every 24 hours, it doesn't say that anywhere. Now i know. PCV valve, Sea-Foam and Tune-Up for 1999 Explorer 302 AWD V8 302 8 cylinder

Another thing i noticed, when i started my car without the Air sensor attached my Check Engine light came on. Then when i put the intake and everything back together it didnt go away. That bugs me. Is something wrong with the TB now?

    PCV valve, Sea-Foam and Tune-Up for 1999 Explorer 302 AWD V8 302 8 cylinder

Ah alright. I just sprayed about 1/2 can in the TB and the other half went in the gas tank. I didn't get much smoke, but it really felt like it cleaned some stuff up. By that i mean, it felt like i was accelerating faster, pulling harder.

    PCV valve, Sea-Foam and Tune-Up for 1999 Explorer 302 AWD V8 302 8 cylinder

Tb? Would it hurt anything to get a spray bottle and spray 1/2 the can of Seafoam through the TB? Then the other half in the gas tank? Wouldn't this have the same effect as the PCV valve?

My quest for 30 MPG - Ford Explorer Gas Mileage Tips

I was just wondering what others thought. I normally get close to the best around 65. I guess my true question is to find out about what speeds others get the best mileage. Al, i've seen some of your numbers. But what of others?

My quest for 30 MPG - Ford Explorer Gas Mileage Tips

Well thats good, all of those things will slightly increase the mpg of your truck. Another way of doing a cold air intake, (if you have the time and tools). Would be to cut a hole in your fendor, get a pipe that is long enough to extend your filter into your fendor and use foam(or something) to...
