    '02 BlackTrac on 35s

Ended up buying the coilover conversion kit from OffRoadWarehouse just before they stopped selling them last summer. Got it all mounted up except the limit straps, just haven't been on here lately.

Pics work fine for me, not sure why you can't see them. I added them with the posts, so they aren't off site links.

    1354 Electric shift t-case

I just went through this same process, except my tcase was broken, not just leaking. I ended up finding a used 80k mile one on EBay for $190 shipped, which I thought was excellent. If it's just leaking, I would split the case and reseal the halves or install new seals on the outputs. It sounds...

If one were to order the FOAs what valving would be the best for our trucks?

    '02 BlackTrac on 35s

Here's what everyone has been asking for. Don't know why I never got around to taking pictures of the bumper, it took all of 2 minutes.... so here's for all of you that have asked in the last 3 years...... Basically, the bumper is made from a piece of C channel beam, with the...

    '02 BlackTrac on 35s

Interior Pics. Basically its just a standard console with the shifter in the floor, nothing special. All factory pieces. Manual is nice. Only time its bothersome is on the highway, when you don't really want to shift up and down (35s don't cruise in 5th up hills all that well). Around town...

Do I need to change Tranny Fluid?

You may look at adding an aftermarket remote transmission filter in the return line running back from the radiator/axillary cooler. You will never get every last bit of the fluid changed without completely disassembling the transmission, so this will help filter out anything that gets left...

    '01-'05 ST or '01-'04 Ranger?

I can fit a Honda Rincon 700 ATV in the bed of mine with the tailgate down (barely). If it wasn't so wide I could get the bed extender in behind it. I think you could easily fit them in with the bed extender. However, if you're looking for something that you can put a topper and and keep your...

    RCD shock and mount numbers.

The 5 inch travel shocks would probably work the best for factory suspension since the top mount is about 1.5" lower then stock with the RCD bracket (so you would need slightly shorter compressed and extended then stock).

    wheel pattern

15X8 steel wheels will generally work. I have them on mine and they clear everything fine. 15" aluminum rims are sometimes a problem since the aluminum is thicker then the steel, but I have seen some stock Explorer 15" rims fit just fine on a Sport Trac. 15X8 steelies should be no problem. Test...

D44 axle gurus, is this a

No, the Disconnect axle had a series of vacuum hoses running to the short side.

    Custom Upper A-Arms

See post number 24 in this thread about the only issues with swapping a 5.0 into a Sport Trac. This guy has done his research! (He swapped a 5.0 into a newer Ranger). http://www.explorerforum.com/forums/showthread.php?p=1756952#post1756952

    trac w/manual tranny?

Yep, they make them, got one. They only seem to come with lower equipment groups though. Because of the shifter there is no room for the full center console so they come with a short console and cup holders around the shifter (like a manual ranger). But you can find them with Cruise Control...

    2002 Ranger FX4 - Modded for dirt!

You should see it now. Go to fourwheeler.com and search for "Project 2002 Ford Ranger FX4" or "Project RangerRunner"

    check your mechanical aptitude

    88. missed one just cause I went too fast, missed another cause it was worded tricky(ok, so i didn't read it right) and missed another cause I just plain forgot my simple mechanics and pulleys :p

    Badlands 08

I would probably be in as long as my SAS is done by then on the 97 (still collecting parts). Even still I might just come in the Trac and run the easier stuff.

ARC monroe replacement shocks equivalent to 'normal' or 'offroad' setting? 98 5.0

The Monroe's replacements have the air bladders but non of the electronics. They are basically a cheap shock with an air bladder and the right air fittings for OEM ARC system. The Ford OEM shocks had both air ride as well as an electronic shock valving adjustment (similar to a Rancho 9000)...

    RCD shock and mount numbers.

Its alright man. I know how it is. I have had a pretty rough week myself. No ER but I think I may have been better off at the ER. Maybe next time.

    '02 BlackTrac on 35s

There aren't any coilovers that bolt in directly, however, there are parts that you can buy to make it pretty much a bolt in affair. See this thread: http://www.explorerforum.com/forums//showthread.php?t=186393&page=6

    RCD shock and mount numbers.

cmax: with the longer shock length are you worried at all about the shock bottoming out before the suspension bottoms out since the collapsed length is longer then the 6.5" travel shock? Have you taken any measurements for this?

    What the hell

Yeah, they'll charge you a full hour. I've never been to a dealer that doesn't.
  25. C

    What the hell

Don't buy the whole bearing assemble just to get the sensor. Find someone that has 2 or 3 old bearing assemblies lying around with sensors still in them that can send them to you. Like me. :D
