i'm i wrong but didnt think this was a fail for leaking a bit unless it affects operation on the steering, i had landrovers fora while they leaked loads never failed mot because of this.

totally agree you need the 00m12 kit which has the o rings and the updated tensioner and oil capture stick thing that will stop the start up rattle. you get a rattle at start up because the oil slips back into the engine the stick stops this. Mine used to do put the kit on no issues. do a search...

dont know how your diy skills are but its only couple of bolts plus the flex pipe to remove the calipers you could then heat them up on a gas ring in the kitchen if you want to be really heathrobinson and save some cash, other than that clamp them and get a plumbers touch for about £10 and DIY...

ebay about £10 ish or you could put a K+N for about £45 never need to replace them.

Just had same problem, the bottom few lines a bent slightly and caused a split in the seams, got one for £50 from a breaker only about 4 bolts and some pipes to take off put a bucket underneath to save the coolant and reuse. job done. they were on ebay for about 120 i think new, but a new one...
