I got too many bad experiences with my auto trans... I do many forrest hunting and fishing trip and the last one were a nightmare! (4ALD over heated and all the ATF drained). I do a lot of towing ( ATV and heavy stuff for hunting) and I think a manual tranny would be better for my needs...

HI! I'm about to swap from a A4LD to manual trans. I looked a the local junkyard but they don't have Explorers with manual transmission. But They have a lot of Rangers with 2.9L. What transmission could fit under my truck? My problem if to find a Ranger of Explorer with 4L and manual...

The leak probably come from torque seal and there is trace of oil in the bell housing... maybe the pump too? anyway... i'm trying to find a used tranny but it'S difficult to find!

I searched on the forum for that Rick mod pic but can't find anything... The past owner of my X installed a "remote ignition starter" ans there is a lot of cutted wires and the installation was the poorest I ever see... maybe I could suspect it. I will try to check the wiring of the 4X4...

Yes the parts for a 91-94 Explorer... It should be 27 splines!

I want to convert my X from Auto Hubs to Manual Hub with the WARN 29071 Locking hubs with WARN 32720 spindle nut conversion kit and KD 2467 socket. This kit is for a 27 spline outer axle. How can I know if I have a 27 spline outer axle on my X. Thanks

Was probably the front friver side Hazard relay that toasted! I Began by unpluger the rear relay, then the boring open door warning relay and the the front one! After unpluged it all, I started reconnecting the rear Hazard relay->OK open door -> OK. Reconnect the front Hazard-> NOT OK! There...

HUmmm... it's not that remote starter. I disconnected it and it stil flasg again! Dont really know what could be the problem. any ideas?
