I need some help on cv shafts, dose anyone know if the shafts from a 03-04 sport trac will work in a 01 Explorer sport? I thought they used the same parts in most cases but they have there own part number I am told by my ford dealer. Looking for some with low miles.
Sport-trac rear springs
They will work perfect on the rear of your 96.I run them on the back of my 2001 sport, bought them new from ford a couple years ago from ford for 286.00 for the pair. They have a little higher load rating on them also.
Coilover, back to Tbars for good.
After going on this last offroad trip I have decided to leave it with the Tbars. It works very well as it always had and I will just sell all the front coilover stuff,it is new other then being bolted on and off a few times,I also have new limiting straps to go...
coilover
Thanks for all the ideas, the spring will rub the cv boot with the weight of the explorer on the ground and at full lock on the steering. It has nothing to do with being in full drop.I have spaced it over all the bracket will allow. The only way to move the shock anymore will be to...

I have a 1999 sport with 134000 miles on it, it runs fine but when I start it up in the mornings it will rattle for a very short period" maybe 2 seconds" and then goes away. After it warms up it will get a noise from the motor that sounds like a can half full of BB's being shaken,it will not do...
I do not have a lift kit,All I have done is the tt and a 3" body lift for the rear I have a shackle kit, add a leaf and new sport trac springs The info you have given me about the coilover setup is what I expected. I will just keep the setup I have and save a bunch of money.I have pictures of my...

Ok, I have seen the post for this and would like to know what is it you are gaining by doing this? Is it just ride quality? wheel travel? if so dose anyone have the total travel that has been gained? I have taken my IFS to the max the way it is, I run 35's and the only thing I need more of is...
Here are some picture's of my 01 sport with 35-12.50's,I had to do some trimming but over all it was worth it.I just got back from Moab, and what a change from the 33's,not so much in the traction, but just to roll over things much better now.I did 5 trails rated 4.5 on the Moab scale and could...

Rubicon aug 18
I will be running it this year with a group of early broncos, we will be going in on the Tahoe side, there may be room in that group for a few more if there are any of you that this date works for.
Yes we did, if you run it, make sure you have people with you that have done it before and know the lines,I did it with some early bronco guy's I know and they are the best I have been around. It is one tuff trail for a IFS explorer,Lockers front and rear are a must!!!As I said, I will try and...
