offroading to me is taking the exploder anywhere that you probably shouldnt take one, and fixing everything you break and the constant changing of stuff when you decide something might be better or look better.

depends on what im driving, my explorer is a death trap on wheels so i usaully wont run over 60. and my car tops out at 140 but after i lowered it cant get it up there anymore either beings the roads are so rough.

well i have power going into the ICM, in the wires that plug into it. so i know its getting power up to that point. but there is nothing coming out of the PIP, IDM, SPOUT, or ignition no. 1, 2 or 3. so i was figuring that it was burned up, but then i got to wandering if maybe the PCM was fried...

ok so after a few hours of tinkering and an ohms meter i think i have the problem of not getting any spark down to the ignition module, or the PCM. but probably both the way its looking, anyone know exactly how to test the PCM?

ok i will look into that first thing in the morning, that would make sense if i melted a wire somewhere and its grounding itself out or whatever it does. and there are alot of wires on that thing, i found a few fuse links that were burned out and replaced those thinking it would fix the wipers...

ok, so here is what i have, if any one could please help. i have a 92 explorer that im trying to get up and running again, been working on it for 2 months since it quit on me, a buddy hooked the battery up backwards one night, and now it isnt getting fire, which i think i have almost figured...

ive hot this 92 explorer with a bit of a lift, about 7 inches, and was thinking about some bigger tires, i just bought some used superswampers and they are 35x15.5, will they work on there or is that over kill, im thinking that they might be to wide. and if anyone knows where to buy cheap rims...

ok here is what the problem is, my 4wheel drive hasnt worked good since i got it, sometimes it will go in and sometimes it wont. so i started to take the electronic 4wheel drive shift motor apart to clean it up, becuz i beleive that is the problem, i think its just all gummed up inside, well...

well it runs like ****, i just got it a few weeks ago, and im just trying to get stuff fixed on it, it has many problems. and ill try the jumper cables to ground it and try that. thanks alot

my explorer done the same thing, and i just fixed it tonight, the electronic shift motor that is bolted to the back of the transfer case will get gummed up if its not used often enough, i was going to take it apart and clean it out, but i tapped on if for a few minutes with a peice of pipe while...

yea it was pressure treated, but i dont drive it anywhere, it hasnt left the farm since i got it, just used to take back in the woods when its muddy to get fire wood. and i think the law here in illionois is nothing over a 3 inch body lift and im not sure about the sl. this state has the worst laws.

well ya i have to turn it to start, and it sounds like the fuel pump kicks on for a few secs. and i have to do that for times and then it will start. and it does it every time. i can have it running for an hour, shut it off and try to start it right away and it does the same thing. but thanks...

ok here is the deal, im new at all of this, im only 20 and dont have anyone to show me anything and just starting working on trucks 3 weeks ago. so im learning everthing as i go, but there is one thing i cant figure out, when i go to start my explorer i have to turn the key on and then back off...

i lifted my 89 ranger by doing a body lift using 4x4 wooded blocks, and it worked fine, i also have a friend that done the same thing on his bronco 2. and i just finished my 92 explorer by using 4 inch sqaure tubing. just unbolt the body and lift it up off the frame and bolt in either the sqaure...

I was wandering what the biggest tires i could fit on my explorer with a 2 inch suspension lift and a 2 inch body lift.

Whats going on everyone? Im new to this whole thing. Ive been wanting an explorer for along time now and I finally got one. So im getting ready to strip it down and start from scratch. So if ya have any tips let me know.
