ok so i did the fluid and filter change. When i took off the pan and got the filter out I noticed it was different than the one I had bought from the store. So i took the replacement back to return it along with the old one for referance. The guy there looked it up in the computer again and...

ok i dropped the pan..drained as much fluid that would come out. New filter, gasket and pan are on....BUT i need torque specs on the pan bolts. a piece of paper in the filter box said tighten all to 80lbs, then go back and tighten again to 120lbs. Seems like alot for pan bolts...idk. My...

ok for now i just picked up couple qaurts of regular fluid. Next time I do it Ill probably use a sythetic. I need to do a quick fluid drop and replace. Long story.

how much does the fluid and filter change usually run for at a place like aamco or jiffylube.....im thinking of just letting them do it.

yeah i checked after a parkway ride to my mothers. The truck was running, in park, and the fluid was hot. And the fluid level was what i said. About 2 inches above where it should be on the stick. I just really hope that changing the fluid and bringing it to normal capacity is gona fix this...

hey, having to much fluid in your tranny will cause slippage right? I didnt do this it was like that when i got the truck. I realized it was overful the otherday and it slips every now and then. To get an idea of where it is on the stick, fluid level is supposed to be in the "thatched'...
