Electric locker for 2000 "X" Dana 35 front end

Well if you dont mind, please shoot torsen an email and ask about a unit for our app. torsen@torsen.com They have had the design for ages. They gave production a green light, but they are "running into supply issues" and release has been postponed until summer. FYI that is exactly what they...

Electric locker for 2000 "X" Dana 35 front end

I believe all auburns use clutches. If you were reffering to the aussie I mentioned, it is a full time locker and I would recommend it conditionally. If the 99 you are talking about, has a part time tcase, or if it has hubs then yes. If not than no. I have had mine for a little over a year and...

Electric locker for 2000 "X" Dana 35 front end

Best of luck, if you figure anything out let us know! Torsen is supposedly making a L/S for it. I wouldnt hold my breath but they say this summer. Also quaife makes a L/S, then there is the Aussie. As far as I know that is it.

Electric locker for 2000 "X" Dana 35 front end

Perhaps I missed something. Are you talking about the stock dana 35 IFS? If so that unit will not fit. The only thing available for the IFS Dana 35 is the aussie locker. I have one and it works great. I would love to get a selectable locker for the front so if you know something I dont please...

Replaced hubs and hum turned into squeak!

I have replaced cvs and hubs many times and never run into this problem. This time I used the new not rebuild cardone lifetime warranty cvs and I cant get the squeak to go away. I put a light amount of grease on and it was quiet for a few days. I guess I need to lather them up good, so I can...

Replaced hubs and hum turned into squeak!

I disassembled everything on the squeaky side and sprayed some silicone grease on both sides of the spacer and reassembled making sure that the dust excluder seal was seated properly and viola.. no more squeak. Big thanks gijoecam!! Odd I have never run into that before. I have put probably a...

Replaced hubs and hum turned into squeak!

I have the RCD kit on there which puts a spacer between the cv and the hub. If the seal is the culprit is it a matter of greasing it up? Perhaps I could throw a bit of bearing grease on either side of the spacer. Thanks I will give that a shot.

Replaced hubs and hum turned into squeak!

Perhaps someone can help me figure out what is wrong with my 2000 ranger 4x4 I just replaced my cv shafts, hubs/wheel bearings, brake pads and shoes. The cvs were starting to clunk and one was spitting grease. There was a hum and a bit of a rhythmic squeak. All gone now. A couple months...

There is a guy over at offroadrangers.com that works for torsen. He confirmed the email but added that it will most likely be longer than summer. I got the impression august was the likely release. If you need traction asap, the aussie locker is available. It is a full locker which I have...

13" cobra brakes for ifs 4x4?

So I know that the 2wd guys can get a kit that includes a bracket and a new hub to use the brakes off of a 95-03 cobra. I dont know what the difference in spindles is, but I am pretty sure the calipers are the same. I dont see why a bracket couldnt be made for us 4x4 guys to use the brakes too...

Um yeah the ttb 35 has a ton of options. The newer 35 is a different animal, thus the excitement of a torsen for us 95+ (explorer) and 98+ (ranger) As of now our options for front traction are: Aussie full on lunchbox locker or quaife custom $1500 formula one style l/s. Even with the groove...

1999 Mountaineer. Getting Stuck, Need Differential Mod. Getting Stuck.

I have front and rear lockers in my 00 ranger. The axles are the same as yours, so I know what you are going through. I have the aussie in the front. I think it is awesome for rocks and mud. However I cannot use 4hi on the road anymore. Due to this, I do not EVER drive on snowy roads. When at...

    My experience with RCD

Yeah I really wanted the Dixon bros kit. At the time, I thought it was too much work and too much money. However with the amount of money I have sank into this kit, to try and get it fixed, I could have easily bought the dixon kit. I think I need new springs. I dont know if I should just get...

    My experience with RCD

I just wanted to share my experience with RCD. I purchased the kit from a local shop reccomended by RCD. I installed it myself. The directions were not helpfull at all. any users of ECTED?

Could be nothing but I have heard of a few ECTED's failing around here. Havent confirmed personally but something to think about. The Eaton has been around longer and is off to a good trac record. I will likely get the Eaton because I prefer open diffs in the snow.

Is an EB dana 30 any good for SAS?

I found a potentially FREE dana 30 from an early bronco. It is complete from drum to drum, and has all steering linkage to the pitman arm. I have been looking for an EB dana 44 with disks but this is temping. I want to put it in a 5.0 powered 2000 ranger with ~35-37" tires. Should I keep...

My 5.0 is on a stand, what should I do to it?

My goal is for dyno'd rear wheel hp and torque. I dont think that I will be there with the list. As for the heads, what should I do? 3 angle valve job, port polish? I have had the engine for a couple of years but I lost my job and went back to school. I finish next year so I am gathering...

My 5.0 is on a stand, what should I do to it?

I have a 2000 5.0 sitting on an engine stand. It has about 40k on it. It will be going into a 2000 ranger. It is 4x4 and will have a manual tranny and billet flywheel. It will have an electric fan and a custom exhuast. I am thinking dual 2.25 or 2.5" I cant find any of the ford headers, and am...
