I mispoke. What I had repaired was called a blend door chamber, but my problem was that I could not switch from top to bottom, so the ac or heat was stuck on defrost. I thought originaly that it would just be that simple vacum problem, but ended up being something else.

I just had that fixed under warranty and they had to remove the entire dashboard to get to it. 6 hours of labor, and 250 dollar part. Ford ESP came thru on it for me.

I notice that everyone is talking about doing 65-70 mph, when driving on the interstate. On my 05 I can get as much as 25mpg (maybee more), just by doing 55 and setting the speed control at that. It takes almost 20% more gas to travel at 70 than it does at 55.

I have to disagree on the V8. I specifically wanted the flex-fuel v6. I get 22-25 mpg using modest driving techniques, and as expensive as gas is, that is a big benefit. It is also possible to fill up on E85 which we have an abundunce of here in Tennessee. I dont think it is possible to...
