Hi All...2005 explorer v6.

Changed fuel filter, changed idler pulley checked plugs etc.

Started up for test drive, died about a mile away. Now it will crank but not stay running. It acts like the fuel pump is losing power. Rechecked filter, replaced again w/same results.

Anyone had an issue where it appears the pump is shutting off? I can hear it run when you turn the key...kind of lost.

Thx
Rob

I am not familiar with the V6, but is there a schrader valve you can hook a fuel gauge to, in order to see if you are getting any fuel pressure when you turn the key in the on position?

Here's one for the books...apparently when I had the air filter out checking out everything in there, a yellow jacket got wedged in in MAF sensor and threw everything out of whack...retraced my steps, found it, and all is well...
unbelieveable...

Too funny! I just noticed you are from GA. The Ramblin Wreck from Georgia Tech strikes again!!

J/K. Glad you got it fixed. It's nice when it's something simple! :salute:
