I've noticed while detailing our Explorer, that the hem flange on the inside bottom of the doors are not crimped all the way flush. There is a small gap between the inner door shell & outer skin. This is on the bottom only. I've look at other Explorers & they are the same way. Is it done this way to prevent rust or is it a manufacturing defect? Looks like dirt & debris could collect in there. Might not be anything to be concerned about, just curious.
