i]Mission Statement [/i]

We are an organization whose mission is to further the promotion of Ford Explorers and Ford trucks in the South and surrounding regions. We will accomplish this by way of membership, shows, regional runs, and social gatherings. We will promote knowledge in automotive performance and safety.

Goals
  • Further the interest in Explorers/Trucks
  • Provide a forum to teach members about performance and safety.
  • Generate consumer interest in Explorers/Trucks.
  • Support our sponsors (if any) and generate consumer interest in their products.
  • Promote our organization as a club that welcomes all genders, ethnic backgrounds, and age groups. Family participation is welcome and encouraged.
  • Support other automotive enthusiast organizations in any way possible.
Fees
  • Membership is free
  • Any further cost would be to aid club activities. (club decals $10)
  • The cost of shirts, and etc., will be the responsibility of individual members and not mandatory.
Membership Requirements

Must Own:
  • Ford Explorer
  • Ford Explorer Sport Trac
  • Mercury Mountaineer
  • Mazada Navajo
  • Lincolin Aviator

Must reside in the states of:
  • Alabama
  • Arkansas
  • Georgia
  • Louisiana
  • Mississippi
  • Tennessee
  • Florida
  • Texas
  • Kentucky
  • North Carolina
  • South Carolina
  • Missouri
  • Virginia

Rules

General:

The Southern Xplorer Club, its leaders, state coordinators and members cannot be held responsible/liable for anything. You are responsible for anything you do to your vehicle, yourself, your passengers, or any other property.

Basic Club rules and guidelines of conduct:
  • No excessive drinking at official Club activities.
  • Respect the land you are on (no off roading on property you do not have permission to do so on).
  • No disruptive behavior. (Fighting bullying, or destruction of property will result in immediate termination of membership)
  • No buying/providing alcoholic beverages to members who are under the legal drinking age during Club informal or formal activities.
Club Officers

General:

All officers will be nominated by the members.

Roles and responsibilities of Club Officers:

Club President:
  • Be overall in charge and responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Club and preside over all Club meetings and functions.
  • Serve as the primary link between the Club and its sponsors (if any), and between all state coordinators.
  • Have oversight responsibilities for all Club activities and events.
  • Act as the Club Treasurer.
Club Vice President:
  • Be in charge in the Club Presidents absence.
  • Assist the Club President in his/her duties.
Club State Coordinators:
  • Be in charge of recruiting people from your state to join the club.
