Tire size

My 92 Explorer had custom rims on it when i bought it. They have 245/70R15's on them which is a difficult tire size to find. Every one would have to order it in. I am looking at putting 30x9.5's on. Does anyone know how this would affect gas mileage, the speedometer and performance (if at all) and would there be any rubbing from this tire size on a stock 92?

I doubt you'll notice a different at all. 245/70/15's are nearly 29" tires. So going to 30" wouldn't be a big step. They should fit no problem on your '92 stocker.
