I have a 1996 Ford Explorer, with 150,000 miles on it. Recently we did some work on it because it was leaking oil from the valve covers (replaced valve cover gaskets) and needed a new thermostat, when I put it back together (also replaced Upper Intake Gasket) it began to idle rough. We replaced the plugs and wires, the IAC, the TPS, re-did most of the vacuum lines, and replaced the canister purge valve. I am getting a CEL P0402, which I am guessing is due to the lack of vacuum getting to the EGR valve (replaced about a year ago) I've also recently replaced the DPFE. Any help would be great.

**UPDATE**
Checked and replaced the PCV Valve and Tube to no avail. It was suggested to me that it may be the fuel injectors and I've run two tanks of gas through with fuel injector cleaner.

When you replaced the valve cover gaskets it might of increased the pressure in the valve cover area. Sounds like the PCV valve is a possible culprit.
