I'm upgrading my alternator to a 200A model.
I want to add a second charging cable to augment the stock cable.
Probably 2AWG or 1/0 size.

How does the OEM charging cable route from the alternator to the battery?

From the alternator, I can follow the charging cable, then it dives down into the engine near the thermostat housing.
I'm pretty sure it joins the large wiring harness I can see come up from under the engine.
I see two cables going into and out of the 175A mega fuse next to the power distribution block.
They're both in that large wiring harness, but I can't follow them.
I also see two cables attached to the battery.

When I do a continuity test between the battery and alternator, there is a connection.
But I can't tell if the alternator cable comes up and attaches directly to the battery, or if the output of the alternator attaches to the mega fuse, and the other end of the fuse attaches to the battery.

Can anyone tell me how the cable from the alternator is routed to the battery?
Thanks
