Has anyone ever seen a coolant leak at the timing cover? Did a head replacement Monday and I've been checking daily for leaks. Right off the bat very insignificant drop of coolant. Thought it might be lower intake leaking but the more I drive it and the drier the engine gets after all the work, the little drop looks as if it is coming from the side of the timing cover. By the way it is on the driver side front. You can see it is dry above the cover. I was getting this little drop before I did the heads. Check coolant level every drive, still full, maybe a quarter cup gone from reservoir.

That is a common leak area.

i have the same leak. dont worry about what it says about takeing the pan off ,it doesnt have to.
