    I have a 14 explorer, so no Ford warranty. I did have a service co tract that covered the repair. Choosing to have a Ford dealer complete the repair got me the 3 year unlimited mileage warranty on the repair.

    Low beam/ high beam issues

    BCM is the Body Control Module. It can be accessed through Forscan and a compatible ODB II cable. I forget which cable i have, but it auto switches between the 2 different protocols used by the various computers. From there you can get detailed information as to what is going on.

    Installed aftermarket hitch

    I pulled a 6x12 uhaul trailer fully loaded from CA to SD with no issues. Make sure to change settings for mileage calculation and other trailering options. Keep speed at 65. I averaged around 17 MPG.

    You should be able to find it on the module sticker. If I'm not mistaken, the module is on the passenger side behind the kick panel under the glove box.
