I have looked at other threads about lowering my 2010 Sport Trac. I am not looking for a radical change here, just and inch or two up front. I pretty much am convinced to leave the rear IRS alone, and loaded down, probably still need the suspension travel there. Just looking to change a bit up front because it sits nose high and I want to clean that up. This ought to offer a bit better handling, too.
One thread suggested cutting a coil off the spring (without overheating it).
A local guy that had a nice lowered Sport Trac had welded new lower strut mounts on the A-arms and said he really wasn't happy with it overall. He lowered the rear, too and the camber change was wearing back tires out.
I saw BellTech has adjustable front struts for F150, and was wondering if those could be adapted. Anybody try a strut swap?
Looking for more ideas ... Thanks in advance.
