Here are pictures of my truck right after the final lifting and work done. Now I know, it is in my driveway, nearly a sin, but hey, at least I got some pics or it now...Tell me what ya think...Comments, improvements...if it even worked.... Thanks, Pete If this doesn't work I'll need someone to reply and tell me how to do this correctly Thanks [Edited by Ray Lobato on 08-29-2000 at 06:46 PM]
I think it would be pretty cool if photos ove everyones rig were available...You know, it would be necessary...I know this is nearly impossible cause not everyone has access to a scanner or digital camara. Not to mention it would be some work for newbies. I just like this idea cause then it would allow us to different explorers from every part of the country with any mod nearly thinkable done. I'm sure there are quite the wicked setups out there that we've never seen because they don't have pics up. Whether the pics are here or linked to a personal website, I think it would benifit everyone. Personally I'd love to get ideas from other explorer drivers to help my explorer one of the most unique in the midwest....Thanks for listening to...
Here's my baby! My webpage is going to be up soon, but here are some pics of my truck. Sorry if they take a while to load. some general pics, including my knight rider lights. pedals, switches, amp, and subs. The box by the pedals controls the knight rider light speed. That's all for now, webpage up soon! [Edited by Alec on 10-02-2000 at 05:58 AM]
Well, I don't have a stock picture, but I think we all know what the stockies look like by now so I'll just show you an after... A fabbed prerunner bumper w/skid plate, rear bumper w/ tire carrier, and rocker protectors are on the way... All of this is taking my truck to the Top Truck Challenge, which I plan to be in either 2003,2004, by which time it won't be my daily driver and will be running 37" tires... Mat
I don't have any good before pictures when it was bone stock so this is what I have so far. Opinions would be greatly appreciated, I am fairly new to this stuff and I am trying to feel around to see what looks and works best. Here it is with and add-a-leaf and slight torsion twist. Here it is with WP Shackles, add-a-leaf and full twist. 31x10.5R15 BFG MT's on AR 767 wheels. The tires look a little small to me, I think I will upgrade to 32's when it's time for new tires. I painted the Ford plackard above the license plate black to match the truck. It used to be gray like the bumper and I thought it looked a little lost up there in the middle of the tailgate. And finally the interior, no big deal, just had extra film...
Here are some pictures of our before and after on our 1994 Exploder XLT. We bought it at Klodes in Casper just for this reason. My dad has a one man shop ( I help part time )I can't afford new besides if I did buy it from a dealer, then I wouldn't have money to add the toys. We had to replace the bumper, grill, fender, front door, fix rear door, fix rear quarter. We started by doing the body work, then took it on a trip to the four corners. As soon as we got back we started on the 5.5" superlift. I did it over father's Day weekend so it was hard getting help. I also had trouble with Superlift since they sent the wrong part, but they were real good at getting me the right one. Thanks to David M. for helping me on the rear part. We...
Here is the ugly before pic. :) Here is where it starts to look nice now! :) Its missing some peices but its the newest total shot I got. Here are the cut rear quarter panels. :) SAWZALL IS MY FRIEND! Here is some info about the truck in case people were wondering. 92 Ford Explorer Sport. 5.5" Superlift lift. 33" BFG Muds 15x8 ARE 767 Wheels and I don't know the backspacing. Rear backup lights are the $8 special at Checker. KKM Air filter Flowmaster Cat back 2.5" custom bent tubbing 4.56 gears with ARB in the rear I have rubber floor mats. :D Hmm not to much else to put in there I guess. Here's a couple of pictures from before I installed the OME springs: (lost photos) I already had the BFG tires, and had a mild shackle lift in the back, but after doing Moab, even those didn't even things out any more. Here's a couple of pics after I installed the OME springs. Note the increased clearance between the tires and wheelwells: My gain in height is about 2" in the back and just over 1" in the front. The rear sits slightly higher than the front now, which I like. On a 4-door which weighs a bit more, things would probably be even. The variance in color is due to the use of different film for the two sets of pictures. [Edited by Tom Wilk on 07-18-2000 at 05:27 PM]
