@Raph X. That could be a wiring or ECT sensor issue. Correct me if I'm wrong but there are two sensors there. One for the gauge and one for the ECM. Also a stuck open thermostat could be keeping the engine too cool but I think thermostats stay closed when bad. However if the thermostat was defective I think at some point the engine and radiator would "heat build" during the hot time of the year. Are you using more fuel than you think that you should be? Is there a thermostat in the system or has someone previously removed it?
