I have a 4x4 1998 4.0 explorer with 130000 miles. Transmission slips at highway speed and starts off in second gear sometimes. I can find 2wd transmissions no problem. QUestion is: can i change the tailhousing without to much trouble or are there major differences between the 2wd and 4wd trans?
