4.0 Oil Plug Metal Cap?

Hi Everyone,

I got this explorer from my neighbor who always took it in for an oil change. Anyone every see something like this for the oil plug? Ive never seen a plug like this. My assumption is the plug was stripped out at one point and they put this "fix" in. I guess then they were just pulling the oil from the dip stick. I dont want to pry on it yet until I have the part to fix it. Might end up needed a new oil pan which im hoping not.

Looks like they tapped a standard freeze plug over the drain plug? If you pry on it does it fall off and reveal the actual drain plug?

It looks exactly like a freeze plug I think it will fall right off
