I have a 1991 ranger with a 4.0l and it came from the factory with no Air Conditioning. I have done some research on installing a/c and it looks like I should be able to do it reasonably cheap enough by using some junk yard and some Rock Auto parts. My dash is nearly destroyed with cracks anyway, so I figure I will pull a dash and heater box all at once and maybe get a bulk discount at the yard. However, the only uncracked dash I can locate is in a 1993 ranger.
1.I know the rangers/ explorer dashes changed in 1993, will the dash/ heater box still fit?
2. Has anyone done this? Are the wires there like it sounds like they might be and it is a plug and play or am I going to be replacing harnesses?
