cam chains

I have a 02 sport with 130k do i need to worry about cam chains tensioners etc or were they updated by 02? also is the tranny problematic?

I believe all of the upgrades were incorporated by 2002. Unfortunately, the right/rear guide assembly is still all plastic on the traction side and subject to fatigue failure. The plastic on the improved guide assemblies is not bonded to the metal reinforcement and is still subject to fatigue failure. 2005 models are starting to experience timing chain guide failures so you are lucky if you have none.
