i need new tires for the x.its a 95 eb stock size is 255/70/16.i wanna go bigger but not shure if 265/75 will fit or would i be better of with 265/70?i dont mind having to do tt on the front.im also looking for a good at tire.
For a stock 255/70R16 size, going to a 265/70R16 might be better since it's just slightly larger, a 265/75R16 might be too big without a shackle/tt lift.
A good A/T tire is the Yokohama Geolandar A/T-S.
They come in at $129/ea for the 255/70 on tirerack, but the 265/70 is just $115, so you save 60 bucks on four, getting larger tires. The 265/75R16 comes in at $136/ea.
I'd say the 265/70R16's are the best choice for a slightly bigger tire without mods, but if the factory gearing is low enough, you could bump up to the 265/75's if you do the shackle/tt as well.
