lifting up the rear end of a 2nd gen explorer

I want to lift my truck with a 4" suspension lift, but the kit is way to expensive, so would it be cheaper to just buy the part of the kit to lift the front of the truck, and then do something different to lift the back to match?? is this possible?

The rear is a normal spring under axle leaf setup. But to lift exactly 4" you'll need custom leaves. You can go less by adding leaves and swapping shackles, or more by going spring over axle or SOA.

It is still going to be expensive. 80%-90% of the cost of a full kit is in the front.
