Safety Recall 22S27

It is just for the 6th gen Explorer. Your 2018 would not be affected. Also, with the 6th gen if you put the vehicle in gear, the parking brake automatically disengages. I believe that as a Safety Recall, the dealer is obliged to implement it.

I have a 2021..forgot to update...my question is since the fix puts your car in park automatically, do u have to disengage it everytime u enter the car
