speedometer calibration

92 explorer 4.0. stock was 225 tires. bought it with 235's. now running 31's. assuming everyone around me drives the speed limit im 5-7 miles per hour off. anyone have a clue on how many teeth i need to lose on the speedometer gear?. i have searched and am not finding my answer. i live in a are where the closest shop is an hour away, and at that they dont even calibrate, just run it and tell me how far off it is.

Give that link a read through. It should help you figure it out. It's pretty simple to change yourself and when I did it I found my gear on Ebay for like $5.

Just be careful getting the bolt that holds it in off. On my 94, mine sheered right off. Had to drill it out. PITA.
