What size Tires

Hey guys I did some searches and its been a great help but im still looking for some answers. I have a 1995 4door 4wd explorer XLT with the 4.0L V6 no lifts or anything on it. I have garbage tires on there now and im looking for some decent ones for some mud, sand, grass, dirt and i will be towing with these tires too if that has any effect ( just some dirtbikes and quads nothing to crazy but some weight) I am probably going to get the BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A but am open to any suggestions. I believe the OEM tire size for my truck is 225/70/15 with an optional 235/75/15. Anyway I have ran 30x9.5x15, 265/70/15 and my spare tire is a 235/75/15 ( which im guessing is an original tire? ) I am wondering what is the correct tire size and what should i run? I have ran all these sizes with no problems with rubbing or anything but the BFGoodrich dont come in all these sizes so ill have to pick the closest one. Maybe a little bigger but this truck is pretty underpowered. Basically im asking whats a good tire size for my application? Thanks for all your help this looks like a real great forum and sorry, i bet this question has been asked 100,000 times.:)

The smallest I would run would be the 235/75/R15. The 30X9.5X15 is only 1/2 inch larger in diameter and less than 1/2 inch wider. As for running 265/70/R15, it is practically the same size as a 31X10.5X15 only the 31's would be a bit wider and might rub.

Thanks for the help. So should i run the 30X9.5X15 or 235/75/R15? I know you said those are the smalest you would run but wont anything bigger rub? Those are the only other sizes besides a 33x9.5x15 and would those rub or work or be a good size? Thanks again

I'm not sure if the 33X9.5X15 would rub since they are narrower than usual for that height.
The 235's and the 30's are practically the same so there's really no difference in which you choose between the them.
