I have been an enthusiast since age 14. My first vehicle was a '52 GMC 1/2 ton with an inline 6 and three-in-the-tree that my Dad gave to me and my brother when I was 15 and he was 17. A beat up, rusted out, old farm truck..super reliable, and built strong. We put in an LT1 350 Chev with Borg Warner Super T10 4 speed and 12 bolt posi in High School Auto Shop.

Had a 1970 Dodge Dart, bumble bee stripe, dual hood scoops, 340 4 speed Carter 625 cfm 4 barrel on a high rise manifold tuned to perfection from a Strip Kit with infinte combinations of jets and primary and secondary metering rods. About 425 HP and redline rev-limiter very conservatively set at 6300 rpm. I bought this car for $800 from a farmer's field.

And about 20 or so other cars after that. I guess I have "the disease"...there seems to be oil and gasoline in my blood. Can't get enough of desiging, fabricating, modifying, not happy unless skinning my knuckles and working on a project.

I am a Mechanical Engineer and helped to pioneer the very first Society of Automotive Engineers Formula Car Competition design and entry from Univerisity of Manitoba with a Design Team 4th Year First Term project which came up with the first concept design, and inspired four individual Graduating Thessississes (Thesii maybe..) We all received A+ on our Design Team Project and our Thessississes and U of M students following our graduation built the car we designed. Now the U of M has the largest student based competion membership for the Formula Car Competition, Baja, Electric Vehicle, and Race Airplane competions of all Universities in Canada.

So that is that. Profile completed. Nice to meet you all. By the way my name is Mark.
