AirConditioner, Coolant, Refrigerant, Freon, Recharge

Hi All! I have a 1995 Ford Explorer ltd. I'm wondering if anyone has used R134a refrigerant with stop leak. Pros? Cons?

I used the kind that says it stops leaks in metal before with good results. The kind that just has some stop leak in it didn't work for me, but I had a pretty bad leak at the compressor, so I ended up replacing the lines anyway!
