driver side knocking noise

there is a knocking noise either in the driver side door or w/in the seat belt assembly -

Is the knocking constant or only when accelerating and braking?

it is not constant but almost. it is when i'm driving. i can't tell if it is in the door or where the seat belt is. it sound like something came loss or detacted and is banging up againt car ... driving me crazy.
