Exp 99. Camshaft synchronizer electric

friends, due to poor electrical work by the previous owner, my explorer has some strange cables in the camshaft position sensor and I am rebuilding the harness, can someone tell me how many pins the input of that connector has and what its synchronizer is, I will look for it and Some say it has 2 pins and others say it has 3 pins. help, my exp is a 99 5.0, I from Mexico

99 5.0 has a two pin camshaft sensor
The 3 pin is for earlier models 96-97

Its like a distributor. It Indexes the top dead center of the number cylinder for the PCM.

Yes the pcm uses the cam sensor to time the electronic ignition
