Installed HIDS on 96 ford and they suck for light

Just installed my HIDs and the beam pattern is terrible, The stock fogs are lighting things up better. I know older light housings are not always good for HIDs but my 92 Thunderbird supercoupe puts out great light with them.

This is a Boush HID kit with High and Low beams, from Germany not a cheap China kit. It is kinda putting out a horse shoe shaped beam pattern. Can I upgrade to a different year headlights to fix this issue.

Regardless of what brand of HID they are, they're in a housing and reflector designed to shape the light pattern of a halogen bulb. Any housing designed to focus the light of a halogen will perform poorly with an HID, scatterint the light to the winds (and into oncoming traffic's eyes).

True, some housings' reflectors are shaped better than others, but I have yet to see one for an Explorer that properly focuses the beam for an HID.
