Hello The flex plate on my rig cracked.Who knows how, it's the second time anyway....Pulled transfer and autotrans, replaced flex plate.Put trans back in, transfer case was leaking between the trans and the case. Went to the dealer and bought the needed gaskets.carefully placed rod "driver side lower"in spacer or adapter between trans and transfer case.Not sure what the rod did but it had a metal piece with a spring holding it in place.Put all together filled fluids and when backing out of the garage. It is making a ticking sound from the transfer case.. AHHH! any ideas before it comes apart again?? Thanks FNG

Did you buy the flex plate new? The factory ones were defective, and an updated version was put out. Any transmission shifting problems? 4.o ohv?

This is my flexplate. When I fixed mine, I didn't seperate the trans case. I dropped the transmission out as a full unit.
