1998 Ford Explorer 4WD
So i took my 1998 ford explorer XLT on a very bumpy ride and after the drive the overdrive and 4wd started flashing. I was able to drive it home (and still able to) but the car shifts rather hard and it revs extremely high anywhere past 25 mph. Even when I step on the brakes and let off the gas the engine still revs high and has trouble downshifting. The car drives somewhat fine at low speeds but not very smoothly as it was before and it makes a loud whistle sound in high speeds like its stuck in second gear. I thought it could of been a faulty speed sensor but my obd2 recorded the correct speeds in the live data. Maybe a faulty shift solenoid? Any help would be appreciated. By the way I replaced the transmission with a used one around 10,000 miles ago (124,000)

Are you sure it isn’t stuck in low range?

That sounds exactly like how the truck behaves in low range.

I did an ecu reset and it fixed all the problems.
