I’ve looked for a while and never seen any upgrades. Energy makes a trans mount but never seen motor. Probably have to be custom fabricated. I’ve toyed with the idea of filling them with liquid urethane like fwd cars I’ve done but haven’t taken time to try.

I saw a thread once upon a time where a guy cut off the front bumper supports, welded on some rectangle steel tubing that fit a JK bumper I believe. Looked decent but let a lot of parts exposed of the explorer i would prefer covered. Been thinking this too but would want to add more steel to it.

Yes AWD v8. Its all working fine. Just little bugs here and there due to age and dry rot, which I'll take care of. Probably right to leave it alone. Thanks.

Went to the junkyard on lunch. Confirmed the plug in question is definitely not for the fog lights. on the model I found it connected to some sort of a control module mounted on the dash support frame. Custom wiring it will be. Thanks just the same for the help.

The colors and pin positions seems to be same except the tan/red wire is yellow/white. Hopefully this weekend I will have time to tone the wires and confirm. Well so much for the pics. This harness on eBay has the blue plug like mine and doesn't seem to have provisions for a factory fog light switch like the one in your pics. Maybe a lost cause...
