Ok...here it goes. I just purchased an '04 X. It has the single cd player. I want to replace it with a factory 6 disc in dash changer. I am finding there are 2 different models. One has a DSP button and the other has a "comp" button where the DSP button is. I'm thinking the one with the DSP button is for the Audiophile system. That perticular changer seems to have more features (like RDS and different sound types) and I'd like to use that style but my X does not have the Audiophile package. I've been told it won't work in my truck. Has anyone installed one of these suspected Audiophile head units in a non-Audiophile vehicle and if so does it work fine? Also since Ford now uses mounting brackets for the radios instead of the spring clips are the mounting brackets interchangable between radios? Any info would be appreciated so I know which radio to purchase.
