Speed Grill and Hood Latch issue

ok, i have everything and i am going to install the speed grille. i have a 93 so you have to press the hood release from under the steering wheel and then reach between the grille, push on the latch and the hood will open. well, if i install the grille i will need to get to the latch. how do you guys do it? just cut a slit in the grille?

I carry a small screwdriver in my glove box, so that when I pop the hood, i slide the screwdriver in near the top and press the lever to the left. The lever is very easy to press and only takes a slight touch to release the hood to open.
